Inter-library loan (ILL) is a service for library users to borrow materials that are not currently owned within the Bridges Library System. ILL items are sourced from libraries within Wisconsin and the Midwest. There is no direct cost to the user to obtain ILL materials.
Any user with a CAFE library card in good standing may request an ILL item. Users may request a variety of materials including books, CDs, DVDs, and copies of magazine and journal articles. There is a limit of five active ILL requests per user. Due to popular demand, requests for items that have been released in the last six months will not be filled.
On average, the wait time for ILL items is between 2-4 weeks. All items must be checked out and returned to the Hartland Public Library. Due dates are determined by the lending library; we cannot modify or renew them. Late fees are $1.00 per day with no exceptions. The user is responsible for any costs due to damage or loss.
Please ask a Reference Librarian for assistance.
