[ARCHIVED] Hiring Director of Recreation

Village of Hartland Recreation Department is seeking a creative, engaged and detail-oriented individual to serve in this management position. Full time, exempt position reporting to the Village Manager that is responsible for creating seasonal recreation program guides; registrations and other general inquiries; budgeting the recreation department and staying within that budget; leading recreational activities of the Village including development of promotional pieces, registrations, and other activities; assisting with Village communications including newsletters and website maintenance.


Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in recreation or related field with coursework in adult and youth recreation, program planning and supervision preferred; plus three (3) years of full-time experience in recreation management with supervisory experience preferred; Parks and Recreation Professional Certificate is preferred. A successful candidate will demonstrate initiative and creativity, have excellent written and verbal communication skills including proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, computers along with knowledge of publishing and website development tools.


 Expected starting salary range $63,000 to $77,000 DOQ plus excellent benefits. Equal Opportunity Employer.
