Fire Prevention Week

DOES YOUR FAMILY HAVE A SAFE MEETING PLACE?

Fire Prevention week is a week long event offered by the Hartland Fire Department. Each year school children participate in programs such as:

  • Interactive scenarios.
  • Survive Alive house equipped with  simulated smoke machine. This facility allows firefighters to teach children how to react in a dangerous situation.
  • Learning about firefighter equipment
  • Stop drop and roll, learning about matches and other causes of fire, question and answer time, and much more!

Firefighters also visit area schools during this time with their fire trucks and fire prevention handouts.
