Shop with Cops
During this Holiday Season, local law enforcement officers from Hartland, Delafield, Pewaukee and Chenequa are teaming up to offer a special “Shop with Cops” event. This special event takes place every year in December from 8am-10:30am at Queen of Apostles Church in Pewaukee. (N35W23360 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee)
Shop with Cops offers children (in grades 5K- 5th grade) the opportunity to shop with police personnel for holiday gifts for their families. Children will go with law enforcement officers to Walmart and then be treated to breakfast with officers, dispatchers, and Santa. This is a unique opportunity for children to develop a relationship with law enforcement personnel that will hopefully serve to make a lasting impression on their lives.
We are able to offer this program to families at no cost because of donations, fundraisers, and volunteers. Shop with Cops was developed with the idea of helping children from our communities whose families may be facing financial challenges during the holiday season.
Every year applications to participate in this event are available at the Hartland, Delafield, Pewaukee and Chenequa Police Departments starting at the end of October.
